Featured Brand Profile: ChicFlicks
Building a brand is hard work.
It involves a significant investment of both time and money. Working with small businesses, I feel it’s important to understand each company’s unique branding advantages and how their stories unfold.
Continuing with the Brand Profile Series on my blog, I am happy to introduce you to Dana Goldstein of ChicFlicks; providing pro video for Calgary’s small-to-medium sized businesses. I had the pleasure of hiring Dana to produce my marketing video and she made the process enjoyable from start to finish!
Enjoy the read and feel free to share with your friends!
What is ChicFlicks all about?
Chicflicks is all about providing pro video marketing solutions for small to medium businesses.
What is your Unique Selling Point?
At Chicflicks, I empower business owners to dive into DIY video and to recognize when it’s the right time to hire a pro.
What is your brand’s mission?
To create great video for all businesses regardless of their budget. I feel very strongly about helping everyone claim their piece of YouTube real estate.
What are the core values of your brand, and how do your products/services align with them?
I am committed to helping businesses grow through the use of video marketing, and I aim to take the pressure out of the process.
Every shoot is to be fun and enjoyable, free from stress and concerns about appearance.
What brands have inspired or positively influenced you in your entrepreneurial journey?
I am continually inspired by my clients who are always evolving and adpating. Many of them have seen tremendous growth and I feel blessed to be on the journey with them.
Share with us your most successful marketing strategies and why you feel they have worked?
I’m still trying to figure that out. So far though, word-of-mouth marketing and networking have been key to the growth of ChicFlicks.
My personality is an important part of the process – once you meet me, you can feel confident that I’ll do what’s best for you and your company.
Do you think you could have attracted your desired audience had you NOT invested in professionally designed branding? (logo design, business cards, signage, advertisements etc.)
Not a chance. I’ve made the mistake of doing it all myself with my first company. Growth there was very slow – almost stagnant – until I invested in people with the right skills.
How would you say people have responded to your branding?
I think the response has been very positive. I’m told time and again how much people love the company name and the glittery feel of the website.
What branding and/or marketing advice do you wish to share with fellow entrepreneurs as they start their own businesses?
If you want to flourish, hire the right people to guide you through the branding and marketing process. You should be spending your time building your business and your brand, not stuck doing the things you cannot do well.
